My Journey with Bulwell United Reformed Church

A lifelong connection with faith and service

I have been a part of Bulwell United Reformed Church since my early years, and this community has played a central role in my spiritual development. Growing up in the church, I felt an increasing sense of calling to serve God and share His love with others, which led me to become an accredited lay preacher and elder.

These roles have given me the opportunity to preach, lead, and support the church family, helping to build a foundation of faith that I now carry into my role as Children, Youth & Family Worker.

Passion for connecting families and young people with God

In my ministry, I am passionate about creating opportunities for young people and families to connect with God in meaningful ways. I lead and support various groups, including:

  • Wacky Wednesdays
  • Friday Youth
  • Messy Church
  • Little Stars
  • Children and Youth Church

Guided by Scripture

My calling and vision

My calling is guided by John 12:26:
“Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honour the one who serves me.”

This verse serves as a reminder that my purpose is to follow Jesus in service, wherever that may lead, and to help others grow in their relationship with Him.

My vision for the future is based on 1 Corinthians 15:58:
“Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.”

I believe that everything we do for God’s Kingdom has eternal value. Through my role, I aim to create a Christ-centred community where families are strengthened, children find their identity in Christ, and the wider community experiences the transforming power of God’s love.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I commit to serving Bulwell United Reformed Church and North Notts Area Church Partnership with unwavering dedication, proactive enthusiasm, and a heart full of passion. My mission is to work and pray to help all people in our communities develop their relationship with God and each other, ensuring that every action taken aligns with our core values of faith, love, and service.

I will be proactive in identifying and addressing the needs of our church and its members, always striving to go above and beyond in my duties. My passion for this project drives me to seek innovative and effective solutions, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

Through continuous personal and collective growth, I aim to advance our mission, upholding the teachings of Jesus Christ and spreading His light in every endeavour. Together, we will build a vibrant, progressive church that stands as a beacon of hope, love, and faith in our community, strengthening the bonds between individuals and God.
